Greater usage of video streaming, storing data, and the necessity for faster connection speeds for the internet, has created a high demand for critical facilities throughout the US. These Data Centers are playing a pivotal role as they are necessary to process, transmit, and store the information that many companies and people find vital in their everyday lives.

It takes a lot of work to build a data center, and as such, there are many different types of companies that are involved in the data center construction process. General contractors, subcontractors (electrical, mechanical, controls, etc.), and owner’s rep firms are the primary staples of a data center construction project. There are a variety of types of positions that require different skillsets within the construction world. While a college degree in engineering or construction isn’t a necessity, it’s a great way leverage your pedigree to break into this exciting and ever-growing field.

Most times our clients are looking to hire construction professionals that have previous data center construction experience, but may be willing to consider and look at other types of relevant projects that have similar skillsets with similar project sizes
