Construction Project Admin / Coordinator – Data Center Facilities Design – Dallas, TX
Our client is a Growing Architect and Design Firm (A/E/C) that has a top of the line Data Center Architecture Practice. They provide AEC services to the Data Center / Mission Critical Facilities Space with the mindset to provide reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability as the work they do supports the infrastructure for AI. They provide these services for Enterprise Data Center Customers, the Colo Market and for Hyperscale companies. Looking for a highly motivated Project Admin / Coordinator with experience in data center construction administration. Someone that is organized, can prioritize, and has been in a construction setting in the past that knows how to respond to an RFI or an RFP. Will need to manage, coordinate, and prioritize what tasks require immediate attention from the Architecture team vs a task that can wait. As a Coordinator, this role will act as a Quarterback and will pass tasks out to architects so they can respond to various RFIs and RFPs in an efficient and coordinated manor.
Responsibilities
- Respond to RFI’s and RFP’s
- Confirms that RFIs and RFPs are completed and work is correctly executed
- Prioritize and delegate tasks to architects on the team
- Monitor and track tasks that are on GC’s Construction Management Platform such as Procore, Prologis, etc
- Import tasks located on Partner’s Construction Management Platform and populate those tasks in company’s internal tracking system
- Conduct when needed program analysis and reporting
- Coordinate with Design/Construction Team
- Provide Administrative Construction support
- Keeps all relative parties informed of project’s progress throughout the life of the project
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management a plus
- 1-3 years of data center experience
- 1-3 years of construction administration experience ( GC experience a plus)
- Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Experience working in or working with MEP trades
- Exposure to Critical Electrical and Mechanical / HVAC equipment in a data center environment a plus
- Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently;
- Highly organized and can Prioritize Tasks
- Solid Admin skills
- Computer savvy: MS Project, MS Office – Excel a must!
- Construction Management SW: ProCore, Prologis, etc
- Experience with Autodesk, REVIT, AutoCAD a HUGE plus
- Attention to detail
- Previous administrative experience managing change orders, billing, creating reports, etc
- Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus! Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes – EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabee’s, Army – Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.
